And yes, we danced the night away.

Davao: Colors

We visited the Aldevinco Shopping Center where it sells Pasalubong  (a Tagalog word which if translated in the American English language would be "keepsake" or "presents". It is a souvenir brought for loved ones or friends. -Wikipedia.com)

Colorful beads

Bronze Bell

A heavy brass belt use for dancing

Silver, gold and semi precious stones

Speaking of gold, Ka's Baby G waterproof gold watch is something I love to have.

Painting the town red.
Fabulous find in the market. The sequined belt completed her ensemble.

We had our stomachful of lunch here.

One of the famous Grill restaurants in Davao.

Crispy Kangkong (river spinach)

Seafood Pinakbet: mixed vegetable (squash bitter melon, eggplant, tomato, okra, string beans) cooked until almost dry and shriveled; the flavors of the vegetables are accentuated with shrimp paste

Grilled Tuna Belly

The overlooking in this place was breath taking.

I had my first Zip Line and Zorb Ball. Getting in touch with nature in high adrenaline rush is an amazing experience.

Davao: Trip with Vounzes

Finally I decided to go on a vacation. I needed a break from work and the hustle and bustle of the city. Here in the Philippines, summer starts at March. Nature tripping such as beaches, rivers and waterfalls are best destinations to go to. And yes, Davao is a perfect place to de-stress and detoxify. Along with my friends -the Vounzes, I booked my flight after their first day.

Davao is the largest city on the island of Mindanao in the Philippines. You won't see any tall buildings or sky scrapers which I think is really good. Everything is like few rides away from the city to beaches and mountain resorts, and is close to diving spots. Even in the city, I can tell am breathing fresh air and people are very warm and helpful. No wonder it is awarded by the Department of Tourism as the Most Livable City in the Philippines in 2008.

Our first stop is at Jinkee's famous store where she sells signature items from Chanel to Tory Burch. From pre owned to brand new. This store is named after the wife of the first boxer in history to win ten world titles in eight different weight divisions

located in JMP (Jinkee Manny Pacquiao) Building, S Osmeña St, Gen. Santos City
 .

Emmanuel Dapidran Pacquiao "Fighter of the Decade"
with Maria Geraldine "Jinkee" Jamora

Next stop.
Ranchero.
Travel won't be complete without tasting the food of the place where you are visiting.

Ranchero’s Grill & Steakhouse: Torres st., Davao city, Philippines

(although I don't eat beef or pork) If you love baby back ribs, make sure to not to miss eating one in Ranchero, it's their best selling version of the classic cutback barbecue favorite.
Ensaladang Pako with Bagnet: Fern Salad with Deep Fried Pork Meat

Crispy Fried Garlic Chicken

Sizzling Giant Bulalo: Huge beef chunks with knuckles in mushroom, onion, gravy sizzling on a hot cast-iron plate.

Watermelon and Mango shake. I tell you, one glass is not enough.
